"Havana Stairway" by John Stevenson
John enjoys the technical aspects of photography but admits that the real challenge lies in developing the creative and visualization skills required for artistic excellence. Joining the ECC allowed John to improve on these skills quickly and he was soon rewarded with numerous ribbons including the club’s Best Image of the Year in 2014.
John actively shoots for his real estate projects as well as Rotary and golf events. He loves travel photography and also does occasional informal studio portraits and weddings. See http://www.JohnStevensonPhotography.com
This image was taken while on a 2015 photo coaching tour in Cuba. The stairwell, leading to an elegant restaurant, seems to have been purposefully left untouched, complete with bullet holes, perhaps as a proud reminder of the revolution.
